Melissa Linn

Melissa is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Approved Counselor Supervisor in Maryland. She is a bilingual (English/Spanish) clinician for those clients looking for services in Spanish. Melissa has been practicing in outpatient and inpatient settings since 2006. Licensed in Maryland, Pennsylvania and Virginia, her primary demographic is adolescents and young adults, women and families looking for guidance in areas of anxiety, depression, grief, ADD/ADHD, trauma, infertility, relationship struggles, conflict management, and adoption challenges. In addition to her mental health experience, Melissa holds credentials as a minister and has a degree in Theology. As an Approved Counselor Supervisor, Melissa enjoys working with students who are pursuing their counseling careers by providing supervision hours and work opportunities to fulfill state requirements. -
Janna Flower

Janna is a licensed professional counselor and nationally certified counselor specializing in individual therapy with adults and adolescents. With over twenty years in the mental health field, she has experience in the areas of anxiety, depression, anger, grief and loss, trauma, and adjustments to significant life changes. Janna takes a collaborative and integrative approach in her treatment, utilizing Person-centered Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, and other therapeutic interventions, depending on the needs of the client.Her professional experience includes work with non-profit agencies, schools, churches, and private group practices, providing counseling services in both traditional offices and community settings. She also has experience teaching as faculty at various graduate programs and providing clinical supervision. In addition to her mental health experience, Janna holds credentials as a minister and has a degree in Biblical Studies.
As an Approved Counselor Supervisor, Janna enjoys working with students who are pursuing their counseling careers by providing supervision hours and work opportunities to fulfill state requirements.

Nichole May

Nichole is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Maryland. As a native of Frederick County, Maryland, she earned her BA from Hood College, double majoring in Psychology and Religion. She completed her MS in Pastoral Counseling from Loyola College in Maryland. Nichole brings 20 years of experience in the mental health field, working in a variety of crisis intervention, inpatient psychiatric, and outpatient settings.She especially enjoys working with clients on issues related to depression, grief and loss, trauma, spirituality, and women’s issues. Nichole has a particular interest in working with those who may be experiencing compassion fatigue, secondary trauma or vicarious PTSD, and has lectured on and researched this topic extensively. She enjoys counseling individuals, couples, and groups, and always enjoys bringing a holistic approach to therapy. Nichole is currently seeing clients through the Telehealth platform.

Brittany Horchner

(Hagerstown)Brittany received her Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University, Lynchburg, VA where she also earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology: Addictions and Recovery. Brittany enjoys working with children and teenagers as they navigate phases of development. She has a passion for helping them overcome the challenges of life through these critical stages, while reminding each of her clients that they are worthy of love and acceptance. In addition to Professional Counseling, Brittany is also a certified personal trainer and enjoys incorporating fitness and movement as part of therapeutic goals. To add to her skills, Brittany is a certified brain health professional receiving her certification through the Amen University. Brittany is extremely excited to add these two certifications into her sessions and helping clients develop a love for holistic health.

Sandra Berry

(Telehealth)Sandra is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Maryland. She earned her BA from Hood College and obtained her MA degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Messiah College. She specializes in family and individual therapy, working with middle adolescents and adults. She has experience with concerns of anxiety, grief, trauma, and depression. Sandra has acquired an abundance of learning through her own quest for self-discovery, growth, and happiness. She understands the journey of processing through the pain and discomforts of life and emerging on the other side.
Sandra is passionate about assisting others with personal growth and overcoming personal pain. She has a history of mentoring young and adult women in developing leadership abilities, defining and achieving their personal goals, and exploring and acquiring career and college skills, and more.
For several years, she has participated in community initiatives to help young women reach their potential.

Michelle is a Licensed Certified Social Worker–Clinical in Maryland and Pennsylvania.She received her bachelor’s from Shippensburg University and master’s degree in Social Work from Indiana University. She has over 10 years of experience in the mental health field. She is passionate about educating people about domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. Michelle is currently seeing clients through the telehealth platform.

Amber is a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor in Maryland. She earned her BA from West Coast Baptist College in Lancaster, California, and obtained her MS degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Clarks Summit University.She has experience working with children, adolescents, young adults, and adults to navigate areas such as grief and loss, depression, anxiety, relationship conflict, self-worth, emotional regulation, transitions in life, trauma processing, spiritual struggles, and more. She is also a certified Prepare and Enrich facilitator, where she can help couples to identify their relationship strengths, understand dynamics, and build skills for a healthy, long-lasting relationship!

Her work experience has offered her the opportunity to work with diverse populations and experience different cultures. Sheridan Heinrichs

She obtained her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Heath Counseling through Liberty University and received a Bachelor’s in Psychology through the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs in 2020. Lauren has spent the last several years volunteering with at-risk populations overseas while doing marketing in the corporate world. She is also a 500-hour certified yoga instructor which influences her therapeutic practice through mindfulness and meditation.

Jessica Fortin

(Winchester)Jessica was born in Pennsylvania, but has been in the Winchester area for 25 years.
She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for 16 years, passionately caring for the geriatric population. Through her career as a CNA, she realized that she wanted to help others on a deeper level. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services through the University of Phoenix in 2016, and is now towards the end of her Master’s program in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through the University of the Cumberlands.
Jessica has a passion for helping individuals, couples, and families achieve a sense of peace in their lives, whether hardships are stemming from the stress of every day life or the survival of trauma. Jessica’s greatest passion lies in the well-being of children and families.

Rachel Riordan

(Hagerstown)Recently relocating from Lynchburg, Virginia, Rachel is excited to start her internship at Hope Counseling and Wellness. She has an undergraduate degree in Psychology from West Chester University. She worked in the substance abuse field the year following her graduation from WCU and is currently finishing her Master of Arts program in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Liberty University, pursuing her master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. After graduation she will pursue her licensure in Maryland.

Ashton Miller

(Hagerstown)Ashton is a graduate of Walden University with a Master of Science degree in Marriage and Family Counseling. After receiving a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Frostburg State University, Ashton became a certified personal trainer through the National Federation of Professional Trainers, which she continues to utilize in her wellness work with clients, focusing on the wellness coaching from a holistic/integrative perspective.
Ashton believes family systems play a critical role in human growth and development and she is dedicated to working with young populations and their families to support internal and systematic growth. Ashton is committed to providing her clients with a safe space to develop their mental and physical strength.
